• Amanda Brooks, AM, LCSW, CADC
    Amanda Brooks, AM, LCSW, CADC Chief Population Health Officer, Amanda Brooks, joined PCC in 2011. Prior to her promotion as CPHO in January 2018, Amanda served as the Director of Behavioral Health. She is a graduate of the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor. During her tenure at PCC, Amanda has made significant contributions, such as attracting over $1 million in grant funding and facilitating the implementation of telehealth and Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT). Notably, she helped launch PCC’s first integrated, direct-access Chemical Dependency Clinic, which increases access to medication-assisted treatment for opioid dependence. Amanda also serves as the facilitator of the quarterly behavioral health round table of behavioral health directors affiliated with the Illinois Primary Health Care Association.
  • Paul Luning, MD, MPH
    Paul Luning, MD, MPH Chief Medical Officer, Paul Luning, MD, has been at PCC since 1995 when he completed the West Suburban Medical Center Family Medicine Residency program. Prior to this, he attended medical school at the University of Chicago – Pritzker School of Medicine. After three years with PCC, he went on to complete PCC’s Fellowship in Community Medicine. He has been instrumental in the development and implementation of many programs at PCC such as the Performance Improvement Program and PCC’s clinical program at Interfaith House, a local shelter for homeless individuals recovering from illness. He has received numerous honors and awards including the Distinguished Service Award from the American Academy of Family Physicians and Illinois Academy of Family Physicians; Teacher of the Year from the West Suburban Family Medicine Residency Program (2003, 2007, 2012); and George O'Neill Leadership Award from the Illinois Primary Health Care Association.
  • Robert J. Urso, MS, MHA, BSN
    Robert J. Urso, MS, MHA, BSN President and CEO, Robert Urso, has served at PCC since 2001. He has extensive executive experience in the FQHC and community health center environment as well as in community and tertiary hospitals. His prior experience includes physician practice management and development, fiscal management, and managed care. In addition, Mr. Urso has served as an ambulatory care surveyor for JCAHO and was credentialed to survey community health centers. Mr. Urso completed the Johnson and Johnson/UCLA Health Care Executive Program in 2004, and in 2007 he completed a fellowship program through the Mid-America Regional Public Health Leadership Institute at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
  • Patrick Garrick, CPA, MBA
    Patrick Garrick, CPA, MBA Chief Financial Officer, Patrick Garrick, joined PCC in 2013. However, he was instrumental in establishing PCC as a stand-alone nonprofit in 1992 while he worked with West Suburban Medical Center. Mr. Garrick received his Bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Illinois at Chicago and his Master's in Business Administration in Finance and Health Care from Dominican University. Mr. Garrick is a Certified Public Account and has over 25 years financial accounting and management experience in the health care field.
  • Lynn Hopkins, MS
    Lynn Hopkins, MS Chief Operating Officer, Lynn Hopkins, has been with PCC since 1994. She has extensive experience in program management, business development, grants management, and health center operations. She received her bachelor’s degree from DePaul University in Chicago and earned a Master of Science in Human Services Administration from Spertus College in Chicago. Ms. Hopkins has played an essential part in PCC’s growth and success, helping PCC attain 501(c)3 status and also securing PCC’s first Section 330 grant from the Bureau of Primary Health Care.
