Dr. Leah Suarez-Abraham graduated from Mayo Medical School in Rochester, MN in 2000 and completed her residency at Ventura County Medical Center Family Practice Residency in 2003. She graduated from the PCC Maternal Child Health (MCH) Fellowship in 2004. After completing her training, she volunteered full-time at the Hospitalito Atitlan in Santiago Atitlan, Guatemala. Fluent in both English and Spanish, she directed and provided outpatient, inpatient, emergency, and maternity services during her three years there. Upon her return from serving the Tz'utujil Maya in Guatemala, she joined PCC as an attending and became MCH Fellowship Co-Director in 2012. She finds her job rewarding and loves how the fellows constantly challenge her to become a better physician. Her triplets (spontaneously conceived!) keep her very busy while her loving husband keeps her sane.
