Masquerade Gala – Fundraising event benefits PCC Community Wellness Center

OAK PARK, Ill. – October 18, 2017 – On Saturday evening, October 14, 2017, the PCC Foundation hosted Masquerade Gala – PCC’s 25th Anniversary Celebration, a fundraising event for the benefit of PCC Community Wellness Center (PCC). Held at the beautiful Oak Park Country Club, the evening began with a cocktail hour, during which time guests had the opportunity to win an array of prizes in the raffle. The social hour was followed by dinner and dancing. Attendees enjoyed being entertained by Tim Cavanagh, a well-known comedian and songwriter.

At the gala, PCC celebrated its 25th anniversary! PCC is a community-based nonprofit health care organization that provides primary care, oral health, behavioral health, support services, and health education to medically underserved communities in West Side Chicago and the near west suburbs. Over the years, PCC has expanded to eleven sites. In 2016, PCC served almost 50,000 individual patients.

PCC is proud of its many accomplishments, including launching Illinois' first freestanding birth center and building an urban farm in the Austin community. “Lately, we have been positioning ourselves to respond to the opioid epidemic. Based on the needs of the community, we recently opened a chemical dependency clinic for people with substance abuse disorders. Together, we always find innovative ways to meet our patients’ needs, both inside and outside of the clinic setting,” said Bob Urso, PCC’s President and CEO.
